I have a diverse portfolio of technical and marketing experience, so I can help you with many of the tasks that steal your time from the most important part of your role as an author – writing.
Vocational background:
I’ve worked at an advertising agency part-time for several years designing websites and advertising materials. I’ve also been a bookkeeper (experience with Quickbooks and Peachtree) and am familiar with Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. I have self-published 7 titles, so I am familiar with Smashwords formatting, Word formatting, uploading to Amazon, Createspace and IngramSpark.
Writing/Publishing Background:
Amber Schamel writes riveting stories that bring HIStory to life. She has a passion for history, books and her Savior. This combination results in what her readers call "historical fiction at its finest". A homeschool graduate from a family of 12 children, Amber found her calling early in life. First published at age 21, she has continued to hone her craft and has been awarded the Christian Indie Award in Historical Fiction twice. Amber loves to connect with readers and hang out on Goodreads with other bookish peoples. Find her on the Stitches Thru Time blog, or on any of the major social media sites. Amber is an active member of American Christian Fiction Writers.
Rates: ACFW Member rates $16/hour. Non-ACFW Rates $18/hour

- Website Design/Editing
I can design websites, edit or update existing ones, and add new pages or features. I’ve used Weebly for my author website and am very familiar with all of its features, however I can manage other website platforms as well. - Websites/Blogs
If you need helpbformatting, adding photos or posting blog articles, I can help with that too. I’ve used Blogger for over 3 years, and I am on multiple group blogs, so I’m familiar with that program and others. I can also teach you how to use it for posting blog updates, changing the appearance, installing new plugins, etc. - Newsletters
I use mailchimp for my own newsletter, so I am proficient with designing newsletters, plugging in content, importing new contacts, creating sign up forms, etc. I am most familiar with Mailchimp, but can do the same with other platforms as well. - Amazon Author Central pages
Amazon author pages can be a great asset. If you don’t have your page claimed, I can help you with that. I can also help you connect your blog, videos, and books to your profile. - Meme/Marketing images
If you need some images to help promote your book or blog posts, I’d be happy to help you with them. - Advertising/Marketing assistance
From coming up with unique ideas, to posting on facebook groups, expanding your reach on social media, I can help you with what you need. I’m familiar with Goodreads and ways to grow that reach, Facebook groups, Facebook pages, Pinterest, and Twitter. - Event promotion
If you have an event coming up, whether an in-person event or a facebook party/live broadcast, I can help you get the word out and promote the event on social media, in your newsletter, on Goodreads, Amazon Pages, etc. - Marketing Material Design
I can design business cards, bookmarks, SWAG material, etc.
